Billy Sage 5 is a versatile entertainment professional born and raised on Oʻahu, with deep connections to both Honolulu and New York City. His journey into entertainment began at LaGuardia High School for the Performing Arts — the renowned “Fame School” — where he discovered his passion for the stage. Initially focused on drama, he later branched into music during his junior and senior years, exploring singing and playing instruments.

Music has been the backdrop of his life since the very beginning — literally. His parents, Jan Sage and Bill Sage the 4th, met while working at Hawaiʻi radio stations, and Billy was born to the sounds of high-energy ’80s rock in the legendary KPOI 98 Rock studios. Growing up in that dynamic environment, surrounded by top hits and radio legends, he absorbed the art of music and voice like second nature.

Both parents were renowned vocal talents and copywriters — his father won a Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award for his comedy album, and his mother earned a National Addy Award for her radio advertising work. That legacy of broadcast excellence and creative performance runs deep in everything Billy does today.
